Today (Saturday) we had plans that were cancelled, so we made it into a "fun family day." By highest vote, playing Settlers won hands-down. :) In fact, one game led to another until we were playing a marathon of 4 games throughout the afternoon & evening. Wanna take a stab at the winners??? If you guessed either of the parents...you're wrong!!! Joy won 2 games, and then Jesse & James each won a game! For those who don't know, it's a strategy game, and Joy absolutely whipped us all on one of the rounds! Talk about feeling old and decrepit! The worst part is that we were not just "allowing" them to win by any means! You know, it's just a little scary, taking into consideration that Jesse & Joy are only 6.5 years old!!! Settler's "Blitz"

Kenton and Ryan have been playing a modified version of this game the past few days - not sure that they have played it through to the end of someone actually winning, though! Kenton loves all the strategy games too and he's the same age as Jesse and Joy...
It's crazy, isn't it? I'd have never been interested in such games when I was that young... But if you can ever come to visit, we'll be sure to get the game out and let the kids have at it!

However, that does not minimize how much I think you do a SUPER job at blogging & that I think it is very amazing work & effort you put into it! I enjoyed reading through the past several blogs you've posted, as I was FAR behind! Such good memories...and many wishings I were with you!!
