Here was lunch today...the kids fixed it up all by themselves, were pleased as punch, and wanted to show you! It's a "wrap-up" lunch consisting of wrapping meat, rice, and veggies into lettuce or seaweed paper. Their meat are the little fishies, and their veggies include radish, kimchi, mushrooms, garlic, and bean sprouts.
Now that we have our white board back up and running, we have all our meals (that we know how to make here) and all the ingredients needed for them listed on the left. Then, each week we will be able to plan out our meals and groceries accordingly. The kids really like this, because they want be more involved in the meal preparation. The kids brought the topic up a few days ago...how Mommy could probably do every thing there is to do around the house since it's so small, but then they wouldn't get much practice in learning how to do things. I've been guilty as charged, so I've promised to back off and let them be more independent in the kitchen...if something gets burned or undercooked, then they'll have to learn as they go. They're pretty excited about it, so we'll see how it goes!

That's awesome that you let your kids cook!
Great idea, Wanda. When I was growing up my mom had each of us take turns once a week planning and preparing the evening meal. It was great training. It's neat that your kids want to learn.
