At the coast

On Saturday (May 4th), we were invited to go to the coast with John's co-teacher, Juong Won & Say Won. They took us to an island where we had to wait for the tide to go down enough to cross over. It was a good hour drive to get there. They said the nicer beaches are a longer drive away.

After an hour, we made our way across...after we took the picture we noticed that it looks like Wanda is walking on the water! Within another hour, the water had receded to show the "road" across to the island.

At the foot of the water, an elderly man was making a traditional candy. It was interesting to watch. Juong Won took a family picture for us.


Joy looking for shells...we found some little baby crabs and some baby snails. On the way back, the road was lined with fish...some dried, some not. Before leaving, we needed to use the port-a-potties and learned that we always need to have toilet paper on hand in Mommy's purse!...along with antibacterial hand wash.


When we got back to Seosan, they took us to an outdoor flee market. It was huge, but we forgot the camera. After that, Say Won treated us to Pizza...that was great, because John has been having cravings for pizza! Hopefully that will stave the cravings for awhile longer. :)


And here's another try at a pizza picture...shrimp and veges with a ring of cheese-like something on the crust. Yum! And lastly, John shot a picture of Say Won driving. Navigation systems are very common in vehicles here. All in all, we had a wonderful day...we only found out on Sunday how exhausted we really were from all the exercise on Saturday!
