Violin Lessons!

Guess who's started violin lessons??? Yep!...James! And so excited to try to play like his aunts! Right now, he's working on his squeaky rendition of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" - the starting song for all instruments in all countries, I'm assuming? Anyway, the rest of us are all excited about him learning it...but run for the other end of the house when he starts practicing! However, the high-pitched squeals penetrate everywhere, so we all usually end up back in the room with him as his audience and are greatly entertained. James is a great sport about it.

His teacher is a a young Korean girl now named Helen (it was as close to her Korean name we could come!). During the lesson, Jesse and Joy are supposed to play games with Helen's younger sister, Susan. But the three of them have thus far wound up sitting on the bed watching the whole 30 min. process as novelty. I'm sure it will wear off before long! In the meantime, though, we still have game-time with the girls for 30 min. after the lesson. The kids all get along well together and have a fun time.

p.s. - does anyone vote that James needs a good haircut???
