Mud & Water

I'm not sure if this is really working or just playing in the mud!!!!!

But I guess he sure got a lot done in the garden that day!

We are learning that our week here will revolve around recycle days. Everything is not picked up on one day of the week. Instead, we must take different things on different days of the week to the recycling center before 8am. Here we are sorting through a lot of stuff for recycle & reorganizing the shed.

We are also getting to know our neighbors. Many of them have come to give us gifts of food.

This neighbor gave us peaches and vegetables. She didn't speak much English,

but we had fun "talking" for a half hour with mostly gestures and a few words.

Water Fight!!!

It started out in the cupfuls, and that was a whole lot of fun---

but...hey, why not just throw the whole bucket over their head?

We made a Korean meal the best we could for Carrie when Akihiro had a work supper to attend. I felt quite complimented when Akihiro said he wished he could stay and eat with us!
