We have tried to get some good pictures of the mountains here. They are not easy to get! The humidity of summer hides them well, so we didn't realize exactly truly surrounded by mountains we really are! Literally!!!!! We were at a park and did a 360 circle ~ mountains all the way. It's beautiful. We are told that we will be able to see them more clearly during the winter since the humidity is lower then. A persimmon tree. My new favorite fruit is persimmon. My first favorite fruit here in Japan were the peaches which had just come into season. Then the grapes ripened, and they were my favorite. But now, the persimmon has claimed my taste buds! I'm thinking that maybe my favorite will be whatever is in season! The fruit is simply wonderful here. Nothing to compare it to!
