Looking at the lowest 2 points of the mountain...we hiked up the the lowest point...the one on the left. We were standing at the very top. It took about an hour to hike up. We went with a couple from church...Kyung Hee and Ae-Ran. Ae-Ran speaks quite a bit of English...Kyung Hee is learning.
On the way up...the kids kept saying they didn't feel that they were on a mountain because it looked more like a trail.
Getting to the top...once we reached the top, the kids said, "Ohhhh! Now we feel like we're on a mountain!!"
At the top of the peak. This is Kyung Hee. He and Ae-Ran are at the left of the picture above. They have been married 7 months. He is 31 and she is 27. (Asian age...we would say she is 25. In Korea, 26. Then, Jan 1st, you are considered the age you will turn that year...her 27th b-day is actually May 17th).
Whew! We made it to the top...with some help!! :) It was pretty steep in places!
And here was the view!! It was the countryside of Seosan and the Yellow Sea...which heads across to China. I was standing about 2 feet from the edge to take this picture...made John pretty nervous!
We could also see clearly across to the 2nd peak up...wow! what a climb that would be!! If you look closely just right of dead center is a long ladder to climb just to be able to continue to hike up! Then above there were several more ladders and steps.
This is part of our descent down...the picture disappointingly does not show the depth very well at all...it was quite steep.

And then safely down again! A little sore, but the kids really enjoyed it. At the bottom we came across some equipment that at first we figured was a playground, but Ae-Ran told us it was warm-up equipment! Oops! Could have used that!
