Yes, we are staying here in S. Korea for a second year! We will be staying where we are now. John has chosen to stay at the same school. He has enjoyed working there and they have offered him a contract renewal. We have a good location with the house so close to school and the stores within walking distance.
The first year here has been full of adjustments, new things to learn, and new people to meet. This coming year, we will meet many new people, especially at the school since several of the teachers we have gotten to know are moving to a different school. In the public school system, teachers are only allowed to teach 5 years at one school. Then they must choose a few different schools and then get placed with one of them. This is the 5th year for some of them here in Daesan. That includes Jeong Won, John's English co-teacher. :( That will also include Bok Soon Cha (pictures of her are on the teacher's trip entries in May) and SunWha (computer teacher who took us to the mud festival in July). However, both teachers live in SeoSan area so we can stay in contact with them. But Jeong Won will probably be moving out of the area. We will miss her!
Since we'll be here another year, we'd love to have visitors!!! We can keep you here at our house, or else there are 2 hotels within a 5 minute walk. Quite truthfully, if I was visiting myself, I'd choose the hotel! :) More roomy and with a nice bathroom!!! haha! But if you want to experience true Korean style, you're certainly more than welcome to our floor! :)
