Dogs or Cats?

Yesterday, Jesse & Joy's math page was learning how to work with tallies and charts. They were to ask 10 people which would be their choice of pet - cat or dog. Since they eat dog, here, I didn't think they'd be choosing them for a pet... But evidently, they like cats even less here!(and don't even eat them...that I know of, anyway!) As you can see, dogs won hands-down. The cat on Joy's chart is from me, and the cat on Jesse's chart is from James. Yet I don't think many people here (in the country at least) have "pets" in the sense that we think of pets in the U.S. ...hmm...I think Jesse's cat column is colored yellow...
