Day 2 - Sept 10, First full day in VietNam

Wed Morning Breakfast

Our first morning!  We are waiting for our first breakfast...!

Lychee fruit.  Peel it, eat the small amount of meat around a 
large black seed. Not too sweet, but juicy.


Perfume's sister preparing breakfast for us 
in the homestay's very small kitchen.

 The pictures actually make this space look larger than it really is!

Lemon juice - 1. freshly squeeze a lemon 
(that is actually a lime)
 2. 1/2 glass hot water added
3. add 1 T sugar
4. add ice to cool it down.

Mom's breakfast choice: banana pancakes 
drizzled with chocolate syrup.  Basically banana 
slices dipped in batter and fried.


The rest of us got Pho(pronounced "phu") - the Vietnamese 
breakfast soup that we were all looking forward to!  Yum-yum!

Ready to hit the streets for our first day in VietNam!
