Grandma's Comments

You know you are in HaNoi when you hear horns honking as soon as you walk out of your room in the morning!  Everyone honks out on the road just to let you know they are coming upon you or around you.

Walking across the street is a challenge every time.  I can't imagine living in a country that doesn't pray for God's protection each day.  (Be sure to watch the traffic video once it gets loaded.)

Another strange and different thing we do over here is when we use the toilet, we toss the toilet paper into a small waste basket sitting behind or beside the toilet, not down the toilet.  Also, to flush, the knob is split in two--one for a "small flush" and the other for a "large flush."

Walking the streets have a unique aroma, from foods with all sorts of smells cooking to urine running along the street curbs.  Never a dull moment for the nose!
