Day 3 - Thurs, Sept 11 - The Market

Here is the largest wholesale market in HaNoi...

Inside the market...a man on a bamboo ladder,
and the Vietnamese small dog we see often.
We rarely see larger dogs because they eat them.
So here's a lucky little fellow!  His owner is selling
different types of dried goods, teas, and such.

Isles and isles of goods---in very close quarters,
and three stories high!

Children's toys

Hair accessories of many types & colors

Colorful hand-rolled paper made into beautiful pictures

One of my favorites that intrigue me each time I pass them on the streets--
the intrinsic die-cut & hand-pieced pop-up greeting cards

Many types of chopsticks

Watch out--coming through! There were many guys carrying large
bundles through the market.  This is the fabric section...obviously!  :)

Beautiful dresses!

Hand-painted figurines in traditional dress
Beautiful containers of differing shapes & sizes

And, of course, plenty of fans!  It is so hot & humid here,
they are very useful, not just for decoration.
