Often the sidewalks are so full of vendors & motorcycles that it is necessary
to carefully walk out in the street, where mopeds & cars honk and speed by.

Activity & sales along the streets
We found the fruit we ate last night, but still don't know the name.
Does anyone recognize this sweet & tangy spicy fruit?
Corn is boiling in the pot. Behind are two girls...one grooming something
on the other one. We notice that this happens quite often.
As we walk, every so often we hear a lot of birds chirping.
Look up! There are usually several cages hanging in front of a store.
Shop keepers snooze in the heat as they
wait for customers. Or, mom thinks
maybe they are just the hangout spots...

Red bridge that lights up at night.
It spans over to an island in the middle of the lake.
On that island is a temple. VietNam is predominantly Buddhist.
They worship their ancestors and believe that they must give them
things they need in the afterlife so that they can be comfortable.
There are many beliefs about what they must do to avoid bad luck.
This was an interview taking place as we walked by.

These red rickshaws are called cyclos. They are everywhere,
offering to take you for am hour ride for between
100-150,000 dong...or about $5-7.00 USD
I found this interesting...it is paid parking.
And everyone backed into their diagonal spaces.

Whew! Back at the hotel to cool off before heading back out
for our supper tour. I'm not quite sure, but I think the kids
might be practicing the Vietnamese "grooming" on Dad!
